All about Starshine....

So you want to know about me..... well, where to begin ? At my age I could start just about anywhere and almost be able to write a book. I really don't know where to start. I think that for now I will just add a few facts about me. No pictures yet, maybe soon, but no promises as I don't feel like I am really very photogenic and maybe I will add more about me then. *Smile* I hope you find this informative and yet not too very boring. Any suggestions on additions or constructive criticism gladly accepted and appreciated. *Starshine*

~ My Favorite Things ~

Oh, my goodness, now there is a question for real thought. I really enjoy so many things. Which one to choose as my very most favorite... hmmmm.... I really don't think I can pick a one and only favorite. Time and real life play on choices the older we get I think. *Smile*  So I will just start with the first and go from there....

My current passion is my computer and making graphics, especially doing pixel painting. My late husband bought my first real computer for me Christmas of 1997. I started making my own graphics with the help of my dear friend, Barb (aka Pinkfly), in the spring of 1998 for my doll shop that was then online. I make all my own graphics, using Paintshop Pro 7 and slowly but surely I am learning to make them from scratch. My desire is to eventually offer a full line of web graphics for those who don't make their own. Right now my ongoing project is making graphics for this web site, my own paged for my new domain and with a wonderful hosting service.

My first true passion was sewing. I learned the basics in home economics in high school and put them to use with three daughters and later with my dolls.

My second true passion was ceramics.  I am now a certified teacher for both Ceramichrome and Duncan Ceramics. I owned and operated my own shop, Rainbow Ceramics, later as Rainbow Ceramics & Dolls for several years.

My third true passion was making porcelain dolls. Not the ones you buy in kits but the ones you make from scratch. With a lot of encouragement from my doll friends I opened a small studio, Dolls N' Such, which I didn't reopen after my late husbands death.

~ My Other Passions ~

Along with my other passions, I also enjoy crocheting, oil painting and reading (fantasy is my favorite). My favorite collections include Faeries, Pocket Dragons, Mice, Attic Treasure Bears ( the little ones *S*), Beanie Babies and a varied selection of ready made dolls ranging from the Cabbage Patch Faeries and Barbies to the limited edition George Burns.

Other things I love.... a soft rain, spring and flowers, the smell of fresh mown grass, family get-togethers, visiting friends, going out to a nice dinner and watching a good movie.

I also love having Tea Parties with my granddaughters and heart mates, Brandi and Shelby.

I could go on with my favorite music, actors, etc. but I think I will wait until another time.....  Starshine
